Southern states reported the highest obesity ratex inthe study. Eight of the top 10 were in the Mississippiwas No. 1, with 32.5 percent of adults overweight. Hawaii didn’t fare as well, however, in the rate of obesde childrenages 10-17. Hawaii ranked No. 37 with 28.5 Obesity rates are on the rise nationwide.
