The building at 2401 Massachusettsw Ave. formerly housed the Embassy of which has already moved out to anew Chad’s embassy currently sits at 2002 R St. NW and employeesx are scheduled to move into the primr Massachusetts Avenue addressin August. Leo A Daly is providinb architectural, engineering and landscap design services to completely renovatethe 40-year old, 8,30p0 square-foot building in two phases. Construction startedc in March. All floors will be re-dons to create meeting and office as well asthe Ambassador’s Sustainable interior finishes will be highlightesd by craft and art pieces from Chad.
The ceiling will be replaced to incorporate new heatin andcooling equipment, air distribution and lighting and data cable distribution. High-tech communicationa and security systems also will be installed throughou tthe facility. Landscape improvements will includse repairing stone work at the front stepa and a new walkway fromthe
