Tourism Association inducts three into Hall of Fame - New Mexico Business Weekly:

She has headed that division for nearly 30 yearsa and has developed extensive contracts with national companies and Hispanic executives. The third inductese is Al Lucero, who is the chairman of the and ownetrof Maria’s Santa Fe restaurant. Lucerl had a 30-year career in broadcasting, starting at Universitgy of New Mexico and eventually taking himto Arizona. He came back to Santa Fe in 1983 and served as president of Channel 2 untilo selling the stationin 1985. He and his wife purchased Maria’ s New Mexican Kitchen and he also becamd an expert on tequilaand margaritas. Lucero has published thres books, “The Real Margarita Book,” “The Great Margaritq Book” and “The Great Margarita Book Secone Edition.
” He helped start the Santa Fe Wine and Chiled Fiesta to help fill hotel rooms outsides the summer high season and has worked to establish the city as aculinarty destination.
