CU will operate the called BoulderDigital Works, in partnership with the parent company of advertisintg giant , which moved many of its employeesw from Miami to a new Boulder office in the past few The parent company is MDC Partners, a Toronto-based networmk of agencies. CU’s Division of Continuinv Education and Professional Studiess will operatethe program, which will be open to media professionals, community members and CU students. The School of Journalismk and Mass Communication, especially the advertising faculty, will handle the academicd management. Advertising professor David Slayden will servre asexecutive director.
Sweden’s Hyperr Island, a digital learning program in Europe, also will be a partnetr in the program, with student and faculty exchanges. The prograkm will start in the fall witha 60-weem certificate program in Digital Arts and Applications are due Aug. 15. Also, startinvg in late July, the school will offer 36-hout immersion Executive Programs in digital fluency forworkinfg professionals.
